Take turns acting out a variety of different emotions while the other person tries to guess the emotion based on context clues.
- For example, I could cross my arms and roll my eyes, which should indicate to the client that I am feeling annoyed.

Engaging clients in small debates can help them to better recognize social cues and learn respect for others in social situations. Allow your client to choose from this list of topics or come up with their own topics.
As an added challenge, make them debate with themselves! Have them list the pros and cons of both positions of the debate to gain a better understanding of how others may think differently about certain topics and help them see both sides to a story.

Challenge your client to complete a small, random act of kindness to a stranger. It could be something big like paying for someone’s meal or mowing your neighbor’s lawn, or something small like holding a door open or giving a compliment. Encourage your client to complete one random act of kindness for a stranger each day/week/month as a way to promote and build upon social skills.
